Being a foodie, I have high expectations for bars and restaurants. However, the town tavern in Alameda caught my attention last week when I visited recently. The hostess was very welcoming and I felt comfortable there; she even helped me get seated at the bar with drinks on hand.
My experience with the cocktail was disappointing as it had no taste, only the fries and chicharrones were served. The food was excellent, but the service was lacking due to their unique combination of chicken legs and salsa. Although there may have been some noise from outside, the staff was helpful although not very well-respected.
Our stay has been enjoyable, with the bartender being friendly and making drinks like margaritas, which are my favorite options. We also appreciate their small meeting rooms, as well as their vegan food options that are a nice touch.
The atmosphere, vast selection of spirits, cocktails, and exceptional service at this establishment earned it a five-star rating. Ryan was incredibly helpful and helped make my visit memorable. Our last stop at the town tavern was outstanding. Thank you for everything!
Every time I visit the town, I'll be sure to order amazing cocktails and ice. The staff is friendly and there's an excellent selection of bourbon! The food is also very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.
They had the cleanest and sturdiest bar restroom I've ever seen, especially with mirror selfies taken without waiting. We were impressed with the lunar new year decorations and the inclusion of moonlight themed drinks.
Upon visiting, we had some drinks and more friends settled at the back table, where we always indulge in new things like pistolas, sunny days in Alameda, and margaritans with black salt. The staff is attentive, friendly, welcoming, food served fresh, all that was expected, but our meal was almost too overwhelming by the end. We decided to share photos on social media before heading out for lunch.
After being established in late 2018, the town tavern has become an iconic craft cocktail establishment in Alcald where guests can enjoy craft cocktails made with demarara, legent bourbon, some orange, and angostura bitter. They also offer an impressive mezcal menu and local beers on tap, such as kimchi or mojito. The restaurant is located on the park street shopping district in downtown, near the beachfront bar and has been around since 2017 due to environmental concerns.
Our friends brought us to a town tavern located at the intersection of park and santa clara, where we were treated to craft cocktails. Although they had given us stools, it was too busy. The hostess took us out and showed us around, but we ended up at ten people's table. We also got some drinks from the nearby restaurant that evening. It was amazing how many people came together for such an experience.
