Despite being in an area of LA with few chain restaurants, I was disappointed to find this place. The Mai Tai they serve palestine but it was still not great. Our first meal was disappointing because it had Szechuan Spiced Pork Ribs that were just barely enough. My second dinner choice was the Shellfish Sampler, with Grilled Maine Lobster Tail - Seared Sea Scallops – Teppen and Parmesan Garlic.
We had an amazing meal and drinks, including the Roy's special which was a decent portion. The waiter was very friendly and we had some quality food. Our dinner was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place to others.
As we were only able to secure seats for 8 people, the bar was our temporary stop as we had to wait. The bar staff served us some delicious drinks and small bites during happy hour, while other server members thoroughly enjoyed our meal and attentive service throughout the day. Our server also cooked perfectly with the swordfish and sea bass served on their steak tenderloins, and it was perfect for our cocktail.
My meal at Roy's was perfect for me and my sisters! The island-chic decor and excellent service made it a must-try. I enjoyed lobster potstickers and wok fried shrimp tempura, while Misoyaki butterfish with Baby Bok Choy and furikake rice were my top choices. My sister chose to order braised shortaise, which was slightly sweet and maybe tangy in flavor.
Although Roy's wasn't our preferred choice, we decided to host our anniversary party at this lovely location. We had a family-friendly dinner and needed an early 5pm reservation for dinner. They were accommodating and gave us reassurance right away, even though their anniversary card was not signed. I went for their Misoyaki butterfish, which included an Alaskan black cod sandwich, while my wife chose the other option. Unfortunately, they have changed their menu plans multiple times since then.
I've been to Roy's restaurant before, but it'll be a long time coming. The food chain in the U.S. is highly professional and never disappoints me.
The spirit of aloha in the Anaheim area, particularly on both the mainland and near Disney resorts, is well-known. The chef's ability to serve food was unexpected until I saw his photo. They also have a weekday dinner combo menu that offers delicious options for those who want to experience everything.
We went to Roy's in Anaheim for my birthday and we were so impressed with their food! The location is stunning, with indoor dining and outdoor seating options that resembles the beautiful Hawaiian setting. The art pieces on the inside and outside are amazing; there was even a delicious selection on our menu (which I highly recommend trying). It was also very affordable.
I went here to enjoy some pre-game entertainment during happy hour, and my server Kieu was the best. He was attentive, punctual with politeness, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, great to eat good, served braised Short Ribs that were tender but not overly sweet, as well as satisfying chocolate mousse which reduced my craving for more dessert.
I couldn't have asked for more! Superb service and bold flavors! Definitely worth trying! The food was delicious with a hint of spice and flavor. Wouldn'T it have turned out better? Potato noodles with ginger flavours is another must-try! Light, fluffy fish + miso soup!
