The food and service at this place are average, but there is room for improvement. We visited recently due to a friend's preference for Mexican food, which we found disappointing. Although my wife had opted for the tostada, our meals were not particularly tasty as we both preferred the traditional approach. The staff was friendly, yet we felt the need for extra spices and herbs in our dishes would have made them more flavorful.
On a Friday night, we were pleased with our seating arrangement. We ordered drinks and chatted like friends while discussing menu items. The food was delicious, with smoky crispy edges and heavenly flavors. My raspberry margarita was perfect for my weekend getaway. The service was also friendly and on point; not too pushy.
My wish is that the management takes a closer look at this review. Their staff is ruining their reputation and business, which has left me with negative feelings.
Although the dinner at Casa Corona is reasonably priced, it has good value for its food and salsa. My choice was a Swifturrito with braised short ribs with chile verde and Monterey Jack cheese, which I could barely finish after my meal. The only downside to this taco and ice cream combo is that they both had chips on offer without charging me too much.
