My new favorite Mexican spot in Laguna Beach is Asado Tacos + Beer. The bar here has a fast-casual vibe, making it reminiscent of the San Clem location and more enjoyable than the other locations. I also hate the fact that I have to tip before being served. (I personally don't like tipping before getting service.)
Overall, I found the food at this place to be unsatisfactory. Although it was a decent price, the portions were small. I ordered burgers and fries with rice and beans, but my meal included quinoa (an appetizer) and soft tacos without any additional dishes. My order of chips was too scarce; they had watermelon ragulets and tater tots from another plate while the service was impeccable.
The Taco Tuesday menu is fantastic, with a great atmosphere and excellent service. I especially love the crunchy short rib taco! The staff is welcoming and the food is delicious. Thanks again! Enjoy your tacky side margaritas!
Asada's food prices surged above their competitors and surpassed any inflationary levels in early 2023. This was particularly impressive.
The man at the front desk of the Laguna House Beach Hotel recommended it to us on taco Tuesday. We ordered shrimp, calamari, and mahi mahneni taccos, which were fantastic. Our Cilantro and Lime Carne Asada salad was too amazing! I gave them a four-star rating because of their overly hot service. It was definitely worth trying.
After hiking in Laguna, we hit a small but amazing taco spot near the park with an outdoor patio and indoor seating. The food served up incredible dishes including calamari and shrimp tacto, which were both delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed. They have dozens of sides to choose from, including salads, bowls or wraps. We will definitely be back for more!
The food was delectable, and the people were also kind. I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone in the group was very friendly!
Upon arriving late in Laguna, we were starving. Our hotel recommended Asada and they suggested walking around for us. The closing time was about 30 minutes, which made me concerned about our safety. We both chose steak tacos and sangria instead of traditional Mexican food.
This place is always a hit, whether we're craving tacos, bowls or salad sandwiches and burritos. The friendly service and excellent food are what make this place great for beachcombing. We frequent it every time we travel here.
Ordering an asada bowl will devour the food in just 5 minutes. I'll always be there, even if I don't feel like cooking. It's a local favorite. Don'T miss it!
