This sushi spot is perfect for a lunch date when you and he hit the town. We were given the Shogun set along with soup, salad, premium roll options (including if desired an extra one), masago tempura and green onion, and my favorite roll, the Hungry Roll. I would definitely recommend this as my go-to because it's spicy and delicious, plus everything in between! Highly recommended! Enjoy!
We found ourselves in a small plaza in Laguna Hills, with no visible sushi bar nearby. Although we were used to the usual waiter's area, it was still close by and had good reviews. However, on chilly Saturday afternoons, we didn't find anyone there welcoming our party.
The neighborhood Japanese restaurant that I've frequented for years has been a great spot to dine. We had scrumptious dinner, especially the garlic edamame ($11) starter, and their perfectly cooked rolls and bento boxes ($13), impeccable service, excellent food, friendly staff, good food (including hot dogs), and outstanding service.
Despite being located in a strip mall, this place is known for its friendly customer service and excellent food. The reviews of this restaurant are mostly positive, and I've been coming here to try some rolls and sushi with my friends. Although it's not fancy, the food and service overall are satisfactory. It seems like there will be more customers coming over than just ordering sushi.
My sister and I decided to have dinner there for a Saturday night. The restaurant wasn't too busy, so we quickly got seated with plenty of space. We ordered two draft Sapporos, spicy tuna crispy rice, and several sushi pieces. Although the spiced rice was delicious on the outside, it was slightly crispy but ggy inside. As for other sushi items, we also had some decent ones. Salmon, white fish; yellowtail; seared tundra; black snapper, blue crab; chipmunk; red onion peel.
I had a strong craving for sushi and this place definitely delivers. My sister and I were welcomed into the premises with gusto. The food was essentially spicy tuna served on crispy rice, which I loved. We also enjoyed seared tun fish (I prefer the searing effect since it is not my favorite dish), followed by halibut, both of which were equally delicious. Although we didn't order full sushi, we highly recommended trying the first one.
I cannot recommend any sushi places enough, especially since they offer fresh and mouth-watering rolls with a multitude of delicious flavors. The sushi is simply divine.
This sushi spot is a must-visit for anyone in the area, regardless of how many items are typically available. However, there are some exceptional dishes that stand out from others.
We were eager to try a new restaurant due to the reviews and proximity to our house, but I was disappointed by the food. The servers were friendly, however, they forgot to bring ginger and wasabi (which I thought would be good for my husband), and the rice on our rolls was mushy like that of grocery store rolls. And we had some leftovers from one of the smaller portions of their OMG roll, which left me speechless at the end.
Although I don't tend to highly personalized service and sushi, the overall experience is disappointing. The place is dark and unclean, and there is water damage on the walls leading to my bathroom where the paint has bubbled up. This makes me wonder what else could be happening in the kitchen that they don’t want?
