Despite not being typical of high-end American cuisine, the food and service provided by the waiter was excellent. The margaritas were also very tasty. However...ambiance varies depending on where you go.
As soon as we stepped inside, the crowds began to gather. We were given a comfortable seating area and our server arrived promptly with her serving dishes. The server was very attentive, even served drinks while I ordered shrimp fjitas, which were delicious and tasted delish. Additionally, my order of chips and salsa came out perfectly, and I had to wait briefly before jumping in. Bravo!
We had a great meal at this place since we visited Covid. The location was easily accessible and the staff was helpful. Inside, we were given chips and salsa along with lightly salted tortillas. Although the salsa was delicious and chunky, there wasn't much heat, but I ended up ordering shredded beef taco and sliced chicken enchilada with green tomatillo sauce. Both of these dishes were mediocre and I thought they could have been better as they were more seasonable. Overall, they didn'
The waiter was not willing to provide a happy hour menu for us, even though we arrived earlier than expected and were served food at the same time. It was also disappointing that our meal was expensive considering we had more people in the party and we didn't have enough money to move upstairs. The service was poor.
Despite the high prices and reasonable food, I was pleased with the chicken fajitos cooked to perfection. The restaurant's reputation in CA is unmatched; there were no complaints about their price or lack of quality. My experience has made me wonder if there will be any other reviews because they are not five star restaurants in California.
My favorite drinks are a margarita and tacos, but I'm new to Avila's. The restaurant is not my favorite among the chain, and the food is mostly average. It'd be quieter here because it was booked for lunch earlier than usual. Waiters were friendly, even the staff was helpful, although service was slow and forgettable due to the number of people working in the bar on weekends.
My husband and I have been back to this place, but the customer service is not up to par. We were told to order a fish sandwich for our anniversary, which was disappointing due to the waiter's misguided attitude towards happy hour. The food we had just ordered was overpriced, leaving us disappointed. Overall, we enjoyed better food!
Despite the fact that this was highly recommended, I'm disappointed by its poor quality beef and chicken. The waitress served nice steak with great flavor, but the burrito was too bland and tasteless. My mom couldn't finish it because it had too much tortilla and meat.
My first time at Avila was a pleasant experience. The staff and food were on point, and the drinks came quickly even though I was already starving. I loved the chips served and salsa, which were excellent. Our Cadillac margarita was generous in size, had good proportions, and an amazing cheese enchilada. It was perfect timing timing! Overall, they were very welcoming and accommodating.
After trying out Avila's El Ranchito, I received a much-needed boost in customer service. Although the overall rating is not bad, it was still satisfactory. My three-star review wasn't entirely negative, but it felt like an appropriate alternative. BH'd thanks to my homemade salsa from one "nada mistah" and wanted to come back for her bday month celebration with Oralé.
