Despite our search for the drama of lbc, we ended up choosing tacos over taccos and were thoroughly impressed by their staff and friendly atmosphere. The decor is bright, modern, and airy, with whimsical mexica influences and artwork that blends in with the island vibe. We also enjoyed happy hour and had plenty of opportunity to enjoy fresh margaritas or drinks from nearby eateries. Our meal was light and refreshing, just like the one we had on Thanksgiving Day.
While unsure of where to go for dinner, I googled the name and found it was perfect. Although it wasn't my first time there, this place sounds like a familiar spot. The hostess informed me that they used to serve meals in their restaurant instead.
I've been to this place twice, and it was a pleasure to visit. The staff is friendly, the decor is charming, food and drinks are excellent, but the pictures do not reflect its actual value.
On multiple occasions, I've dined at this establishment with my mom and myself, savoring their attentive service and relaxed atmosphere, as well as their unique happy hour specials. Expect classic cantina margs that cost $6 and half an dollar each, along with fully dressed oyster options priced at $7 for two.
The barrio cantina has been fantastic for several reasons, including having the perfect pre-made Valentine's day menu, being homely and spending time with my partner after work, and hosting a small celebration. The restaurant has incredibly cute decor, plush booths, pink chairs, comfortable seating, ample bar tables, spacious seating options, generous food offerings, free parking, extensive breakfast items, two kids tables to play in, as well as ice cubes provided by local vendors.
The restaurant has a charming decor and incredibly friendly staff. The food is delish, including the taquitos de papa with chorizo added to the taco sticks that I love so much. There're also drinks available for all tastes, such as strong ones with spicy bites. We had the occasional shot of churro shots when visiting with friends or family.
A few weeks ago, I visited the restaurant for happy hour with a colleague and was surprised to find parking in front of the building. She explained that she had to drive several blocks south before finding any parking spots nearby due to lack of signage or access to the back area. The atmosphere inside is lovely and lively, and we both ordered round margaritas. For our second round, it was good, but not very popular.
The margarita served in a beautiful crystal pitcher was perfect, not the yellow ones. The chicken tinga taco and guacachile tostada were delicious! Our waitress was friendly and the place was lively. I'll definitely be back here soon. Enjoy your stay there! Thank you!
The bartender, roger, was very helpful and provided us with excellent service. Our meal and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for happy hour. We had a taco, potato tacto, ceviche, salmon chicharron, and mezcal flight that we ordered from the restaurant. Although it may have been icy outside, they didn't disappoint.
The food at el barrio cantina was fantastic. We're new to the restaurant and recently visited during restaurant week. Our starters, shrimp ceviche and potato taquitos were both delicious options. I enjoyed my carnitas chile verde with its soft texture and kept eating half an hour before finishing it completely, while my wife enjoyed her mexican hot chicken, which was also very good.
