Despite being busy on Friday, Kenpachi provided excellent customer service and the dinner menu was presented quickly with delicious and reasonably priced dishes. The food was also of high quality. Many thanks for the drink suggestion!
Since san Pedro was the first time I ever visited their new location, kalaveras has always been on my list of places to go for. The waiters at both locations were very welcoming and we had great food service. Although it wasn't particularly tasty (I actually ordered the chicken legs with some Mexican seasoning), they didn’ not have that in their other location.
During happy hour, this place is spotless and delicious! I ordered two tacos gobernadors and three chicken taquitoes dorados for my meal. The service and food were excellent, and the happy hours are from 3pm-7pm making it a great location to meet friends and enjoy drinks. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting again.
I'm a fan of Mexican food and found this place to be quite pleasant. The restaurant is situated on the beach pike, with parking available for rented cars. We arrived in an hour and waited for 8, but we ended up getting snobs and sipping cocktails.
Despite the fact that it was decent, I enjoyed the chimichurri sauce that came with the empanadas and even used it on my soap opera saltado. The shrimp ceviche was unappealing and messy to scoop, while the juice from the celiche bowl was too heavy for me. This dish is not recommended for dinner.
During lunch yesterday, we had a bumpy start at kalaveras. The server was not very attentive when we first arrived, and it took some time for us to get accustomed to our meals. We were served beer that my husband wanted to drink, but our food came out before we got cutlery. Since we're going back for dinner tomorrow, let me know what you ordered with your glasses instead of taking our order.
Despite the lack of name tags and poor customer service, the champagne served during brunch was too loud and caused headaches. The food was bland, with no flavor or taste in any juices or cucumbers; the servers failed to finish their dishes properly, and my knife from the table was unclean. I'm told the bellflower one is superior because of its cleanliness.
The waiter at kalaveras informed me about the wet burrito's size and additional items. My nephews were surprised to order chicken fingers instead of the expected one from their previous visit, but our server was kind enough to help us finish our dish with some rice or beans. We ended up ordering another colder alternative like fried rice that we believe is unsafe for such an atmosphere.
Make sure to ask for Andy, the top-notch server who is always available and known for his attentiveness. They also provide excellent customer service.
