This is a great spot for catching up on some date ideas or having dinner with friends. I booked supper at the pub after it stopped raining in LA for several hours, enjoyed the standard food and onion rings combo as well as the bread pudding. The beer offered on the bar tab was excellent too, especially since I'm not primarily into chocolate or bread but this one was so delicious that I felt guilty about ordering both.
I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and attentive service. The restaurant has tables set up around the edges with a wall for optimal dining experiences. Additionally, the service is good and responsive, and the food is average-looking. Although not terrible, maybe it's better to share some plates since our appetizer was decent (tuna tartare). However, other dishes require substantial portions.
It was a great experience to visit this place. I've been there many times and it never disappoints. Just recently, the bartender Zach appeared on my receipt with blue eyes and brown hair, and seemed to think I was hot while we were at the same bar. Unfortunately, he forgot about my drink and left it in the sink 3 seconds after ordering it. Does that mean there is something wrong with their service?
The local eatery offers good food and beer at Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, where you can opt for a budget-friendly meal like the fish and chips on this $19 plate. The spray vinegar is uncommon but perfectly matches the flavor of the dish.
A chaotic Friday afternoon saw an empty building open for "happy hour." My friends were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. I doubt any negative reviews - the food, drinks or wait time during Happy Hour was pleasant as hell. The bar staff was friendly and there seemed to be no one here waiting for us for over two hours.
