Whether you prefer the classic or modern style, these eateries offer a variety of delicious burritos, taco sandwiches, and bowl meals that feature your choice of meat. Personally, I'd suggest barbacoa for its delicateness and flavorfulness. My friend tried their ceviche tacotros with fresh herbs and cucumber as my signature condiment.
We had a great dinner with my family of five at Dona's for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and pleasant. Donal savitsky, who owned another Mexican restaurant in town that opened two years ago, is now the owner. Click here to learn more.
Doa, ranked highest in oakland among takeout and dine-in options, has been a favorite spot for me to start my meal. My veggie bowl order was fantastic, with an assortment of beans, salsa, salad, avocados/red onions (my absolute favorite), and butternut squash all mixed and served quickly throughout the day. Service was also exceptional. I went in with my friends at 6pm on BTX just after 5pm. Can't say enough about their service quality.
Recently, I went to this cool restaurant and it was a great experience. The location is convenient (no direct access to the Kaiser Hospital), but parking is posh and can be challenging at times. It's chilly outside, so you might have to foot on the gravel road, but it'll be easy to get your fill.
The food and staff at this establishment are fantastic, and the atmosphere is delightful. There's a lot of outdoor seating available, as well as plenty of indoor seating. The nearby parking area is also great for biking, but it'll likely be full due to cash withdrawal. Personally, I enjoyed the nachos with chicken filling up my stomach perfectly. It was an absolute pleasure to share!
I've been to a place that feels like supine cafeteria, with parking and quick service. The food is served quickly and the staff is friendly and helpful, making it easy for customers to order their own items without feeling patronized.
Despite living in nearby KS, my family is experiencing medical challenges and this restaurant has been a go-to spot on our meal plans. I visited during the opening hours to avoid the line for admission and have since had great experiences with the staff and service. Although I'm not one for meat, I was offered some food (cinnamon taco), cauliflower tostada, and veggie tacnos.
Our meal was terrible! We were served four barbacoci and a doca ensallada with chicken, along with chips, black beans & rice, and some fries. The beef barbabocoo (pictured) did not taste good while the rice had undercooked grains and the salad barely had any dressing on it; the only decent items we got were the hot churros and this black bean purée. Thank goodness!
A quick turn-around and fantastic food. My friend's favorite was the dona salad with its Pollo Asada taco, fish tactoguacamole filling. I would definitely come back for more. The service is impeccable as always.
Would anyone recommend this Mexican-inspired restaurant without any reservations? The food and service were disorganising and rude, while the staff at the register was unhelpful when we requested advice on what to order. I wouldn't suggest going there again in the future.
