Despite the lack of an outside view, our dinners were disappointingly bland at the restaurant "on the river." My husband enjoyed the macadamia nut crusted halibut and my husband loved the scallops on my plate, while we had plenty of green beans for our teenage son's happy hour.
We were treated to an unsatisfactory meal at this mediocre seafood spot, which was only opened after a recent dinner recommendation from HGTV's Mike Bannon. The waitstaff made it difficult for us to taste their food, and we were left with minimal plates due to the view of the river that we had not gotten to experience outside.
Despite having reservations for my boyfriend's birthday, I was excited to try out this place. The only downside was the wait time of 15 minutes after arrival and the hostess' tardiness. We were initially relieved to not have to wait 20 minutes before we noticed any problems but it was still worth it.
Last time I went to Scott's, it was a great spot with upscale food and drinks. However, the restaurant was under construction last year and there were no self parking spaces available. The price of the service is $8 for ten dollars per person, plus 3% gratuity. This place doesn't live up to its reputation as an expensive diner.
Definitely a seafood-loving spot that's perfect for sharing grilled steaks and refreshing seafood dishes. The sauce options here are excellent, including the white pasta sauce, mango chutney sauce served with coconut shrimp, and tropical salad. Though the halibut was less flavorful and had minimal seasoning added to its overall flavor profile.
After dining at scott's, I had a fantastic meal. My friend tried the macadamian crusted halibut, my husband chose the surf n turf filet mignon with scallops and kiddo 1 had the grilled chicken. I also enjoyed their starters: calamari fritto and crab bisque (which I found to be too spicy and not good), and ended with sorbet in raspberry lemon cheesecake (fab). The overall vibe was very relaxed/very serviceable. Service staff
Our visit to the restaurant during happy hour resulted in a seafood tower instead of everything else on the menu. The seafood was fresh and delicious, with no complaints as I am highly sensitive to its taste and scent. We enjoyed every meal we could have without any additional choices.
During lunch, I went out for lunch with hubby and my mother-in-law. They had brunch on Sunday so it was nice to have some crab benedict (very good) and then I took the rest home. The sangria we ordered was excellent and could feed two people comfortably. Additionally, the raspberry jack dessert was perfect and even filled the bill nicely.
My husband and I had an incredibly delicate steak and lobster for our anniversary celebration. We also appreciated the thoughtfulness of our waiters, who provided desserts instead of champagne to share since we don't drink. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. It always makes us feel like we're enjoying ourselves!
Despite not having reservations, my best friend and I had dinner here recently. We were treated to a gracious welcome and were given secluded seats in incredibly comfortable lounges with ample space for our wheelchairs; the menu was well-prepared and enjoyable, including lobster for my husband and salmon for me. The servers took care to take our orders, taking into account my severe allergy to shellfish.
