Menu

My rating of 5 would be higher if the bartenders were not so bitter, unpleasant and angry. The band was fantastic, and we had an amazing eclectic crowd. However, the staff was terrible; I wish they would have been more gracious in their hospitality but their rudeness was unbearable for pouring beer, wine, water, etc.

Vibe

The dive spot is ideal for enjoying live music on weekends and lounging on the patio with ample seating for a few friends in the summer. The atmosphere is lively, people are friendly, and there's plenty of entertainment available. Drinks are reasonably priced and service is excellent. There are also numerous events taking place in Old Town. Nightlife is plentiful.

Value

After spending 4 years at Swallows, I discovered that Family Style was a popular band and had an amazing time on March 4th. Although the crowd was packed, like in previous years, they seem to forget about COVID being alive. Four of us experienced this tragedy while working alongside other women. We were told we couldn't do anything wrong; it was heartbreaking. Shameful!

Vibe

A four would be a reasonable rating for this place and maybe five, but I'll keep giving it another one. The Swallows Inn is situated in Old Town San Juan Capistrano, which has countless excellent restaurants to dine at. It's perfect for SJC near the historic town, and the bartenders are highly regarded for their exceptional service.

Value

Despite not frequenting the Swallows Inn for years, my family and I have been visiting them recently. The locals are well-liked and their country western cowboy heritage is evident, so we thought it was a perfect spot to see them all. My daughter and her boyfriend took an Uber there last night, and they were given cowgirl boots and hats by my husband and me as gifts. We also appreciated their hospitality at the inn.

Service

The Creepers band was the perfect choice for a night of live music, with an enthusiastic and energetic guitarist, diverse music selection, cold temperatures, and upscale food offerings. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Our bartenders were friendly and helpful, while the beer menu was reasonably priced. Come prepared with cash or cash in mind. This is renowned throughout the area.

Value

I was at the bar with my friends and we ordered a bloody Mary. The worst bloodied Mary ever, which our waiter refused to exchange for it until after they collected cash from customers. We did not order any more drinks after that because it was too bad! Unfortunately, this unfortunate incident happened too late in the evening and all the staff members were relieved of their duties due to illness.

Vibe

I'm in heaven at this dive bar. It's cash-only and the bras are everywhere. I wished I had left them earlier. The drinks were simple, the staff was friendly, and everything there was perfect.
