The abbey is my go-to spot for a great burger, and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. I particularly enjoy their happy hour service and their delicious poke nachos. Thank you! We're definitely going back to this place.
Short review, I had a quick lunch and ordered the buffalo chicken salad half order. It was perfect with the balance of blue cheese and buffalo sauce. The half portion was incredibly refreshing and great for summer afternoons. My nachos were good too, plus there were some nice crunchy wonton chips. Beers are plentiful throughout the meal.
This place is known for its chicken with capers, vegetables and lemon. The french dip was excellent today, and I also enjoy thin fries. Although I miss the outdoor dining that was available during my visit to this place, the interiors are always clean & welcoming. Service from Krysta was exceptional.
The waitress is welcoming and willing to share her knowledge of how you can get a good seat, even if you have crutches or require assistance with sitting. The food is absolutely amazing! My partner and I love the peaceful atmosphere created by the low lights and football games on Sunday nights at the location. Wouldn't this place be any better?
Initially, I won't write a review for every business or restaurant I use in Seal Beach. However, my recent visit to the abbey was worth it considering the busy atmosphere and lack of customers. We didn'n's were left wondering if we should have reserved fewer seats or skipped our round at this place. Overall, they were all good!
Despite sharing 2 pizzas for 6 people, the restaurant's reasonable prices are disappointing because my waiter was constantly checking our plates and the plate we were given was dirty. It would have been better if we went there again on a sunday instead of ordering elsewhere. The food was decent though.
As I stepped foot inside, the place was spotless and delicious. We had the daily pick 2 special, which included grilled cheese with homemade beef barley soup, carrots, potatoes, and beef with a delightful flavor. My friend enjoyed the bottomless mimosa sandwich with chili, while my friend liked the mimisa with olive oil, lime juice, or watermelon. The service was impeccable, too!
Our lunch date on Friday was a chance to visit our favorite spot after visiting with my daughter and her friends. The buttery, toasted bread from the sandwich ($13.95) made it sound even though we're not sure where to find the beer that my husband loves. We also enjoyed the homemade soup or salad served by their friendly waitresses for dessert!
The food served here was excellent, except for the margarite pizza with a strange balsamic vinegar glaze. I had arranged to have reservations and could enjoy dinner with my family. We had an amazing Thanksgiving meal, but all dishes were delicious.
