The food at batch and brine, located in downtown Lafayette, was disappointing as it did not meet my expectations. I initially thought the chicken and waffles nashville style were tasty but found their pricing to be unsatisfactory. Additionally, the parking was unfriendly due to the metered system that surrounds the building.
Our server was extremely accommodating as we arrived with a small party of 6, but our meal was amazing, including the delicious chicken and waffles. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your help!
Located in downtown Lafayette, batch and brine is a large gastropub that offers burgers and sandwiches on the weekends. The bar features graffiti everywhere, including bathrooms and plays sports like Dodgers' "Motion Crazy" tapestry, while we had express Your Love Like A Proud (I can't believe it) for drinks. We also enjoyed an early brunch at their restaurant across the street from Social Bird Cafe, located near Cooper Parkway.
Despite the abundance of delicious food and great cocktails, we highly recommend the batch & brine options at this restaurant. The menu includes banana pecans for dessert, brownie sandwiches with caramel apples and pretzel sliders; spicy memphis wings (pictured) -- my favorite!
On my first visit to this place after finding it on a yelp, I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and lack of waitressing. We were served chicken fried steak, chicken/waffle bites, millionaire bacon, biscuit tacos with whipped toppings (and mintuine) for dessert, and bloody mary only made our evening even more enjoyable due to the lackluster service.
Having spent a day hiking at Lafayette reservoir, I thought it might be worth trying the burger from their batch & brine menu. Plush seats outdoors make for chilly evenings. Friendly waitstaff and delicious homemade fries are included on my order. My meal was served with fried green onions instead of the usual red onion sauce.
We went to a place in Hercules that had both kids and whiskey cocktails. The location was perfect, and we loved the atmosphere and happy hour. After our visit, we split it into two groups and each person left with burgers, nachos (my cousin's favorite), and sliders for dessert. Our meal included fries, slider mix, pretzel, taco sticks, hot dogs, chips, fruit, watermelon sandwiches.
On a quiet monday afternoon, I had the opportunity to grab kale caesar and split it between two individuals. The salad was delicious with plenty of dressing and flecks of breadcrumbs. It was perfect for sharing, and the iced tea was well-made. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes at this location. Enjoy!
