The Refuge, located inside Hillsdale Mall and well worth the 10-minute drive to reach there. Our lunch arrived late Sunday morning when the front door staff told us to take a seat wherever we please... There were three employees around the host station doing nothing while sitting patiently for 10 minutes until our meal was served; an hour later they said, "Go ahead and pick up where I want to go."

Vibe

Our first visit to this location was based on our "Choose Local" points, which we could redeem at The Refuge. We were treated to delicious fries and outstanding customer service, as well as the option of having beer or something more during lunchtime. Additionally, my review of the San Mateo location with similar menu items is still very positive.
