We had a great time in the small town of Woodland, where Mexican food is plentiful and not easily available on public transportation. The chips and salsa were excellent, but the salsa was not spicy enough. Our server enjoyed the spiced and pineapple guac as well. My husband and I also ordered the pastor taco plate, which included some of the best wings, steak, and pork sliders.
It's wonderful to see how traditional food items are, and I love that they combine so creatively. Today, we were treated to a lobster taco special and had to give it ten minutes with shrimp and carnitas, followed by another lobster. The salsa was delicious, the margaritum was amazing, everything was wrapped up nicely, etc.
One of the main concerns is that tables are frequently sticky due to inadequate cleaning, resulting in uncleanliness and occasional scratching of surfaces. Additionally, marias does not match the freshness of other establishments like Sol or San Francisco, where margarita cocktails are served with lime juice every evening.
Yesterday, I tried their "flag ship enchiladas" at my local restaurant. The tortilla was too firm and the cook didn't have the skill to fry the tortilla properly, leaving me feeling sad about the meal. Additionally, the pomegranate drink was the only saving grace and reason for the extra star rating. I wouldn'T go back to this place again.
Despite only returning one or two times this year, I'm delighted with the excellent service and food at Maria's. The street tacos are my favorite, along with everything from chips and salsa to the last bite of each dish. And the overall vibe is very pleasant. Highly recommended! Thank you!
Although I rarely dine at Maria's due to its incredible Mexican food in the woods, it'll be a great alternative for those who want to experience authentic Mexican cuisine. The decor is exquisite, and the margaritas are some of the best in town. We had tatoo Tuesday with my friends, which was quite busy until 5pm this evening.
After dining here, I'll definitely be back. The inside decor is stunning, and the side booths and outdoor seating are also impressive (especially the heated seats outside). The chips were thin and hot, while the salsa was not very spicy. Our waitress was attentive because it was always so busy, but our server was able to order more food for our leftovers. My spouse chose the chili verde, which was delicious and served quickly with plenty of leftover sauce.
While the food at Maria's is usually excellent, its high prices make it a costly choice. However, it should be mentioned that you will incur an elevated cost in your visit.
While the food was delectable, it had a genuine feel, but the portions were too heavy and loaded with meat. The Chile verde dish cost 75 dollars in total, including 25 meat pieces for the bell pepper.
The food and the service at our wedding reception were perfect, making us feel like family after a long time. We had scrumptious meals and drinks during the first hour.
