We had the margherita pizza, chicken ragu, and strawberry short cake at this restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere was lovely, the music was enjoyable, we enjoyed the date vibe, but the service was outstanding. They did offer dessert even though it was already dark outside.
It appears that the reviews for my backyard burger are not very favorable. The reviewer's response is due to something different happening at Pizza Express. I was taken aback by this, saying that it was only based on fried chicken but with juicy filling. My meal included two sliders that were about the same price as sliced fries from Bay Area Five Guys and tasted delicious.
The food was delicious. I got seated for dinner at the back patio as per my request, and had an absolutely amazing salad of fresh produce and spring flavors. My meal included one of these plates -- a pepperoni and hot honey pizza with crispy thin crust and refreshing toppings. And there's also the dessert that tasted like heaven: buttermilk biscuit with strawberries, cream, and ice cream. Which one did you choose? It didn't disappoint!
This place is fantastic! I've been here many times and the food is always delicious. The server was attentive, but unfortunately they didn't pass on meatballs that are typically served at this location. We went for pork ragu with lemon sauce, which we enjoyed very well. Overall, our meal was excellent.
The oakland restaurant serving thin crust pizzas is a great spot for enjoying outdoor or indoor meals. Our group arrived at 5:30 pm on Friday for dinner, and we quickly moved to their patio. We had plenty of wines, beer, cocktails, salads/apples, as well as pasta dishes and meat entree' options, but the main attraction is the thin- crust menu, which costs between $20-$29 depending on the ingredients.
Our friday night's menu included seeded bread and butter appetizer, a magherita pizza with hot honey and pepperoni, an amazing pizza made right here on the premises, and served in less than 10 minutes. The food was also very good, but the service was subpar. We would definitely order there again!
During our time in Oakland, we've been craving their excellent pizza but this one is even better. The pizza is amazing and we even had some leftovers for the flight that day; it's not too expensive when compared to other places we frequent. And I can't wait to try their app again!
It was a disappointing experience for us as compared to the other guests. The waiter was unfriendly and seemed uncomfortable, especially since we were sitting behind dozens of people talking when they started arriving. Our meal was delectable, and I particularly liked the cinnamon-infused cocktail with mescal in the second drink. The food was also good, with excellent olives and bread provided, which was just what I expected for my money.
I went out with a friend for snacks and drinks and they were spot on. The weather was nice inside and the patio was located outside the street. They have ample seating, twinkle lights and heat lamps, and enjoy music from soul/r&b genres. We each ordered burgers, salads or olives over there, which were delicious but had some citrus in the oil that added to the flavor.
