Our pre-game lunch at Barleymash on Sunday was a hit, thanks to Katie's cheerful bartending of pints and cans of Pacifico. We were given the opportunity to order from there for our afternoon meal after asking for more information. However, we found that no one seemed interested enough to make it there.
Despite being closed, this place is now open and ready for business. It boasts metered street parking and commercial garages within walking distance. The location is stylish and comfortable with a large dining area and oversized bar. I watched sports games while there, which was very popular among the party. They also have daily happy hour specials that we could order in advance.
Despite the hype, I believe there are no complaints. The restaurant/bar is spotless and offers drinks and entertainment for the game enthusiasts. Our server was attentive and accommodating, even serving us well-prepared chicken tenders that tasted better than canned soup. We also enjoyed Mac and cheese with shrimp, which were pretty tasty while our server complained about being overly generous in portions. My husband's friends had recommended using canned or homemade soup before we went to watch the baseball game.
