The hotel's staff and online reservation system were faultless. The food was excellent, including a sticky bun and frozen berries with everything. Unfortunately, the poutine wasn't very good; I thought it would be unappetizing because it contained too many pieces of tuna and the remaining ones were like cucumber salad. Overall, it was satisfactory. It had ambiance, but also provided some seating options.
The saltiness of the Salmon on toast was a surprise to me, as I told the waitress and the chef that she should have informed them. Instead they suggested cutting the salmon into smaller pieces and adding more ingredients like capers and spread on buttered toast. However, my attention was drawn to the sweet fruit, which eliminated the salty taste and prevented it from breaking my crowns.
Our dinner was fantastic, with delicious food and a small table serving party size plates. The price was $400 and we were starving all night, but we had to make do without food since we wouldn't have left there even after spending over $2,000. We would not go back. It was incredibly disappointing.
The bar was empty during brunch, and we were seated at the table while waiting for our drinks. The mule had a heavy lime flavor mixed with sour ginger ale; the watermelon lemonade was too strong to be ordered lightly; and the coffee table was vacant. Unfortunately, all window tables were taken away from us.
My husband and I made a quick reservation at the restaurant on saturday night. The location of the venue was easily accessible, including both indoor and outdoor seating. We were given different menu options and water right away. Our waiter recommended dishes such as baby green beans and spinach mixed with heavier ingredients. After trying their salad, we decided to order some heavy items like the fried rice crackers and crispy peppers.
The tapas served here were of a decent size, although the price was definitely higher than I expected. My favorite dish was the octopus, which is probably the best I've ever had. The ravioli was also excellent, but didn't take ill and not photographed. Also, the shrimp and sausage combination was very good, just weighed down. Overall, they were very friendly (although they did check in more often).
Although some dishes were more impressive than others, we still had a good time dining with our dog on the outdoor patio. The heat lamps provided ample warmth and the wood grilled cauliflower was surprisingly delicious. I could have wiped away all the curry sauce and charred it perfectly. Though the swordfish dish looked beautiful, the fish appeared overcooked. Satay sauce mixed with noodles added depth to the dish. Overall, this meal was fantastic.
