We visited Ballast Point for a company event and it's surprisingly spacious with room to suit - the restaurant can hold over 200 people and its clean and pristine feel is unmatched anywhere else. The glass walls in the hallway lead you to the brewery area, which is where we had our server sit. They gave us top-notch beer recommendations during happy hour, offering 6 wings and $10 beer at checkout; I also chose the sculpin hot sauce or Korean sticky glaze sauce, but I chose that my pick was the one with more flavor.
The bar has been open since noon on a Friday, so I decided to grab stools from the adjacent bar. The new lunch service has started this week, and there's no official flight available for beer lovers to choose from. You can also opt for multiple 4oz pours to create your own. One of my favorite beers was California Kolch with pronounced spicy flavors that tasted great.
