We often visit this place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, but it's always a hit because of the variety in their menu. The outdoor patio is perfect for sitting with our dogs, while we revel in the peaceful and serene atmosphere. They provide all you need to order from inside, although they also serve delicious food and cakes made at home.
Our family-owned and operated restaurant, What a Dish, has been incredibly delicious. It features outdoor seating and abundant plants, and the waitresses are always courteous and helpful, making our stay unforgettable. The food is truly deserving. We would highly recommend this place.
I was given a salad with tuna on top and dressing without any cheese, which was delicious and free from gluten. Timothy is incredibly nice and understanding. I'll be sending pictures home soon. Thank you!
I found the food to be fairly decent, almost luxurious, but not exceptional enough to warrant a fifth star. The fries were "the best I've ever had," were perfectly crisp and delicious, and there was also scrumptious beet salad and crab-cake Benedict. Delicious cake with melted butter and contrasting hollandaise complemented the meal; it was slightly confusing at first because we entered the establishment expecting an unpleasant reception, which turned out to have been unpleasantly formal.
Despite the lack of greatness in my experience, the staff was fantastic and helped me enjoy the French toast pudding. Although it was described as French Toast but not bread pudding, I find its texture to be more similar by comparison. The strawberries were delicious, but also had walnuts instead of bananas. Would it have been considered vegan? Thanks!
This secret spot for dining outdoors is a must-visit during warm weather. Glass cabinets filled with cakes and pastries offer an irresistible European taste, and this particular garden omelette was perfectly seasoned, featuring vegetables like celery, roast potatoes or ketchup. My friend enjoyed it while eating blueberry buckwheat pancakes, which she highly recommend to me! The cafe truly capture's unique essence of what it is.

The five-year celebration of my cancer battle was a success, and I couldn't have asked for more. Our local haunt, Dana Point, is undergoing redevelopment and has few places to relax. This review is meant as if I were talking about something that wasn'T found elsewhere.
What a Dish Cafe + Catering is located at the back, where you can enjoy cozy surroundings with friendly staff and delicious food. The menu features breakfast sandwiches, lunch items like green onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos, as well as pet dishes. We chose the El Capitan Omelette for breakfast and were served hot in their microwave ovens. This dish is perfect when guests are outdoors and ordered from one of their comfortable seating areas.
I have never heard of this place before. It's a hidden gem in pristine surroundings, right across the street from both the town harbor and the main hotel that you need to visit. Highly recommended.
