While reserving a pastry at the counter last night, I encountered poor customer service. After waiting for three minutes, another customer lined up behind me and then had to wait for two or three more minutes before checking for someone to drop off food.
Rockwell's Bakery, Cafe & Bar deserves the nickname "Identity Crisis." Is it not more reasonable to call this concept "identity crisis"? Wouldn't they have decided to invest in this idea before considering its unfinished state? Although I am uncertain where their investment came from, there is no sense of humor or excitement.
During my time here, I was at the far end of some outlets where my wife and I were shopping. The lack of a host/hostess made me uncertain about seating myself at their front counter. However, they had arranged for me to sit down and we could enjoy some bakery items. When my husband arrived in the building, it appeared as though there would be no espresso drinks on the table.
The breakfast buffet is a great choice for me, but the staff needs some organization. I was in line for several pastries during my visit to buy them for an event and the cashier didn't give me any feedback. After finishing all these items with complimentary pastry boxes, I felt relieved when they finally handed me the order. My meal was over after this.
We received a perfect score of 12/10! Our meal included the Fish & Chips and Coles Chicken Pot Pie. The service from Beau and his friends was outstanding, and the crispy crust from the fish looked like the perfect Fried Chicken crust. Their pot pie was perfectly portioned and served with luscious sides.
Located near the outlet mall, this place offers excellent food and service. The indoor seating and wheelchair-friendly outdoor area make it a great spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. Although I did not enjoy my lunch there, the dessert bar was quite tempting. It's unfortunate that they have such large portions at times.
Our stop at the San Clemente Outlet mall was for a drink and appetizer, with an emphasis on enjoying drinks outside in the patio area. The bakery/restaurant is known for its breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus that vary from sandwiches to hot dogs and salads. We decided on bottled water before our meal so we could enjoy some cocktails (a Bloody Mary), lager, champagne or spirits, depending on how many bottles we want--we ordered three (3) and split up each of the items served.
The pastries and cake at a retirement party I attended were visually stunning, but the taste was lacking. It was surprising how much they had been hyped up by the lack of sweetness in the desserts.
This place is known for its exceptional coffee, friendly staff, and excellent service. Our favorite drink from there is the Cars N Coffee, which we also enjoy here. Don't miss out on the chance to try coffee in front of Starbucks.
The hamburger was average in terms of flavor, and the service was satisfactory, except for the need to find someone to help me with my check-in. This is not a place to be hurrying around.
