We've never been to golden bear, despite walking past it and taking pictures of its impressive street signs. I'm surprised that this time wasn’t our lucky day! Our group went for brunch outside golden Bear after their regular lunch earlier today in the morning before they decided to take photos with some amazing murals.

Service

Both the sunrise sando and breakfast pizza were delicious, with the former being more flavorful than the latter. The service was friendly and efficient, and the outdoor seating is spacious and comfortable, providing shade from the street. Additionally, they brought their own hot sauce to serve upon our arrival.

Value

Despite the rotating taps, the food served here is always delicious and filling. The breakfast burrito is a small but perfectly tasty dish, and the service is generous. Indoor seating can be noisy, but the outdoor patio is an excellent option for sunbathing enthusiasts. However, it's not as hot as some places do on the street.

My first visits to this bar have been in 2010 and 2023. I went there for a patron shot before heading over, but both were followed by ice cream on the next weekend. The service and prices were reasonable, and the drinks were strong. However, I was disappointed when they showed me re-animated scenes from an 80s movie that I had never seen before.

Vibe

The bar is small, but the vibe is charming with its friendly staff and varied food offerings. I would highly recommend trying their mortadella & pesto sandwich, which was a delectable sandwich with crispy fries and decent beer and cider on draught, rather than the unappetizing IPA. Highly recommended!

Despite the ingredients being explained step by step, I can honestly say that the golden bear's bánh m is one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had and definitely not worth my time or money.

Service

Despite its popularity among university students, this bar and restaurant was an enjoyable place to enjoy drinks and food. The server was very attentive and had great bartending skills. We also enjoyed pizzas and a bánh m (which I highly recommend trying out) which is featured on the menu alongside other dishes from dinersdriveinsdives but unfortunately doesn't appear to be as popular as usual after tonight's episode.

Value

After a pizza dinner, we headed to the gold bear for drinks. The bar was spot on, with ample outdoor seating and ambiance inside. I ordered paradise trailer park, which had hints of black licorice. We also enjoyed some music when we were leaving but unfortunately missed happy hour. Great service! Thank you, bartender! How sweet is this dessert? What would you recommend?

The regular menu items are always available, and the staff members are consistently helpful in taking orders. There's also a lively movie theater atmosphere and an exciting music scene during lunchtime. Don't miss out on this delicious meal! Enjoy yourself!

I've been enjoying their brunch specials that involve experimenting with different toppings. The breakfast burrito is one of the most impressive and highly recommended ones, especially when it comes to flavor. Although not as extensive as some places on this menu, they do offer something for everyone to enjoy.
