I've been meaning to try this for a while now and my sister and I shared it on Yelp. The server gave us drinks at the random two-person table, but our tables were too unstable. To prevent any unpredictability, I brought some half-cut corks with me!
The rind is an excellent spot to enjoy delicious food, especially the t-brie cheeseburger. The atmosphere is delightful with ample seating for socializing and complimentary music. Service is friendly and efficient, as well as their excellent selection of wines and beer. I'll definitely be back there again!
While the food at this place is excellent, I'm not satisfied with its salty texture. The wine pairings were enjoyable both times I visited, and overall the service was satisfactory despite the lack of balsamic vinegar. Our lunch included a burrata/caprice board that didn't meet our expectations.
On a weekday evening, my husband and I visited the Mac & Cheese location. My choice was to order the shroom mac 2.0 with tomato soup, followed by pickled veggies and orange creamsicle cheesecake for dessert, while my friend chose the pesto masquerader (mac n cheese) over the indoor option. Unfortunately, the service was not very efficient as there were two outdoor tables available.
We enjoyed the mac n' cheese, twisted grilled cheese and tomato soup, but we didn't find the taste that was quite good considering the price tag. The sourdough bread turned out to be better than the crispy griddle ones on our plate, which is why we decided on the shredded mozzarella version. However, the softness was not as great as we had hoped for.
Our lunchtime location was packed with families, including the girls. Although our waitstaff was attentive, we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service they provided. We ordered lobster mac ($138) and hot sandwich ($140) for two of each but had to order separate meat and cheese plates (£35). The servers forgot about us after finishing serving soup and left us waterless until we reached the restroom.
The rind was not busy, but it was slow to receive our orders. We were served wine and light dishes for about 20 minutes until the next server arrived. I wasn't too excited about the service as she delivered the board after serving pinot; let me just say that we had some food and someone else took our order. Perhaps they should have something lighter instead of a glass of wine.
Despite having eaten at this place since before the covid's visit, I was disappointed by the price increase. The food is deceptively expensive, and the service is poor considering my cheese sandwich was sticky and there were no chips. My order was delivered in 10 minutes, but it felt like work to be done when I finally went back inside. However, they were helpful and accommodating.
Honestly, this place is one of my absolute favorites! The staff is outstanding and welcoming, and the cheese selection is truly delectable! It's also a beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
