Excellent taste! Would definitely buy again! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was just right, along with the crispy fries that went well with everything.
Despite my initial reservations, I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant in the area. Instead, fixins was our next stop after eating lunch at The Rockies, which is located near north oak park off of 42nd and 34th streets. Within ten blocks, we found ourselves enjoying fried tomatoes with spinach/artichoke dip that absolutely tasted amazing.
This place is fantastic for food and fresh ingredients. I plan on returning to this spot today. The staff is outstanding and the vibe is down-to-earth. Additionally, the customer service is pleasant.
It's been a while since I last visited this place, but it'll always be there. We had incredibly tasty food and drinks to share that included fried chicken, which they recommend over all the restaurants in the area, as well as their famous artichoke dip with spiciness. Our family was thrilled when we dined on our anniversary here.
Get your fix from this upscale soul food spot in oak park that serves both cocktails and delicious fried green tomatoes. My lunch was a big hit and I enjoyed the catfish nuggets as well. The chicken sandwich was also excellent, considering I'm used to seafood gumbo. If you have had burgers before, they usually serve hotdogs or slow-cooked meat dishes.
Despite having visited the location several times, this place is one of the few I'll be back to go back. The food on my list is nothing short of delicious, and I have yet to experience any underwhelming or disappointing dishes. My personal favorite is the oxtail, which is perfectly cooked and lightly fried.
The brunch at this spot is an amazing experience, with the lively atmosphere and attentive servers who guarantee their prices are reasonable. We also had excellent appetizers including fried green tomatoes, chipotle aioli dip, and caesar salad. Our entree received some lovelies but we couldn't have asked for more. Fried chicken was another crispy side; it was too good to chew.
With a friendly vibe and good music, our bar was spot on and the food served promptly. We were treated to tasty catfish nuggets and adult kool-ades, as well an appetizer with corn fritter and hot chicken patties; while my husband'S Korean favorite is the three-piece cooked chicken with biscuit, which I highly recommend but we didn't order there for lunch.
Despite the difficulty of parking in my area, I have been to Fixins before and they seem to be doing a good job. Our dining experience at this restaurant was enjoyable as well, with servers waiting for us outside when we needed assistance. The only problem is that our drinks spilled outside due to the wobbly chairs and dirty tables.
Our meal at this fantastic spot in Sac was a total game-changer. The waitress was consistently accommodating and helped us feel more confident about our food choices. We had scrumptious chicken, excellent seasoning, and the most delicious oxtail we could have ever ordered; everything here was deserving of our time spent with my friend.
