The location of this restaurant is perfect for couples visiting downtown, with walking distance to the golden 1 center and doco. We had a shrimp po' boy sandwich on our way there, and we also enjoyed sweet corn tamale cakes as an appetizer. The staff was welcoming and offered more french fries throughout the meal. Our table turned out to be too full.
I've always preferred this establishment over others, and I recently went there for dinner and happy hour with my friends. The server, Ashley K, was unfriendly and didn't provide any complimentary items. We were served beers for about 25 minutes, then some food at around 6:35 pm, but our meal was already devoid of any flavor or alcohol by the time we arrived.
The friendly atmosphere is unmatched, especially when it comes to the golden one center. We had the best french dips ever! Absolutely delicious and perfect cut of meat, perfectly balanced with au jus, and we couldn't have asked for more time before checking out our car at 2pm supercharged. Highly recommended!
Before the kings game, we took a seat at the bar and ordered burgers with fries. The service was excellent and the setting enjoyable, particularly the salad (with good fresh fruit and vegetables) was on the table; I'll definitely return for another visit.
The shrimp po boy served was stuffed to perfection, and the service was satisfactory. The dining experience was loud, which may be typical for a business lunch. However, it wasn't ideal.
Having dined here for 10 years, I'm thrilled with the food and especially the cocktails served during their recent social events. Although the cornbread croissants were strangely sweet, they do have some fees for the kitchen staff and alcohol-related charges. The bar is spacious and well-lit, with ample seating and a full service bar.
I had dinner here for the first time last night and I was blown away away by the perfection of the filet mignon! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to an ideal degree, making it even more delicious. My mom enjoyed the chicken marsala too, which we couldn't have taken any pictures of due to starvation on our plates.
The house kitchen & bar is an excellent choice for hosting happy hour, providing a great opportunity to socialize with friends while enjoying delectable cuisine and engaging drinks. Additionally, the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about wine and cocktails.
I made reservations for a concert and assumed it would be busy. However, our party was soon packed with people who provided us with drinks including deviled eggs. Although our food took some time to prepare, we ended up ordering the shrimp po boy which could have been cooked with more sauce. The staff is always helpful even when there are many people in the crowd.
Spending a day exploring the highlights of Santa Barbara can boost your enjoyment, especially for someone who is not enthusiastic about driving home after waking up near the capitol mall.
